LINWOOD COUNTRY CLUB

One key factor for a successful and lasting golf course depends on its ability to evolve despite the changing times and tough competitions. In over 90 years of existence, the Linwood Country Club is not only one of the oldest golf courses in South Jersey but also the most respected golf course in the state.

The par 71 18-hole private golf course has a course rating of 70 and a slope rating of 126. Herbert Strong, known for introducing the first “island green,” designed the course. It is a challenging course for the low handicappers while the high handicappers will find it enjoyable when they play it from alternate tees. Breathtaking views of the Atlantic City skyline and the bays of Absecon Island make a beautiful backdrop of the course. The course has different facilities including driving range and locker rooms as well as pro shop. Dining facilities are also available including a snack shop.

The course received several accolades including America’s Best Top 100 Modern (post-1960) Courses 2006 by Golfweek Magazine, Top Rated Gold Courses for New Jersey 2005-2006 by Golf Digest Magazine and Best Top 100 Modern (post-1960) Courses 2005 by Golfweek Magazine.

Linwood Country Club is the “Cheers” of country clubs which make a homely feeling to every golfer as its long time staffs memorize every golfers’ name.
