The Harbor Pines Golf Club was opened to the public in 1996 featuring a par 72 18-hole champioship layout with a slope rating of 129, course rating of 72.3 with a yardage of 6,827 from the longest tees. Golf Architect Stephen Kay designed it to provide a challenging course and charming attraction for golf enthusiasts. Golfers can feel that they own the public course as its 520-acre of heavily pine forest site eliminates a crowded atmosphere.
The parkland style course features large undulating greens maintained through the finest irrigation system. It has five large set of tees perfect for any level of golfers. It also gives a variation for tee positions which lenghten or shorten the course resulting for a more challenging play in different angles. The 12 ponds are placed strategically to enhance the scenic layout of the course and to intensify the challenge without overwheming an average golfer. Bunkers are made to increase the difficulty of the game but it is also made to impress with bridge to cross from one hole to the other. A well-marked yardage is also another feature of the course with color-coded stakes and fairway disks to serve as a guide and speed up the play. There are more than 800 sprinkler heads that have markings of yardage for an easier shot selection. The angled greens and visible landing areas from the tees minimize the blind shots allowing golfers to assess their next shot.
