If you are looking for a golf club in South New Jersey that provides more than an experience, Greate Bay Golf Club is a place for you. Located at Somers Point, NJ, the golf club’s facilities include an 18-hole golf course, practice facility, golf shop, clubhouse and banquet rooms.

The par 70 golf course has a yardage of 6,705 from the longest tees with a slope rating of 127 and course rating of 72. The course was originally designed by Willie Park Jr. when it opened in 1923 and it was redesigned by George Fazio in 1970. Currently, the course is on its on-going renovation and has completed yellow tee on #9. The renovation includes leveling, stripping and re-grassing some of the undersized tees. Trees and water hazards are visible in some holes while the fairly large greens are well bunkered. The course’s signature holes are #12 and #13 that has a narrower fairway at back nine compared to its front nine. The semi-private course offers special membership programs for different levels of players and all ages. It is the home of LPGA classic from 1988 to 1997.

Practice facilities are open everyday which accommodates the member’s needs. The facilities include two practice putting green, full practice range and pitching and chipping green. The fully-stocked golf shop offers quality golf products including apparel and equipment. Expert and courteous staffs are present to assist golfers who wanted to upgrade or adjust their equipment.

Greate Bay Golf Club renovated its clubhouse in 2003 that expanded its accommodation up to 500 guests. Different function rooms are available matching the type of occasion a host prefers. For formal dining, the Park Room is an ideal venue featuring leather seating and rich accents. Music played by a pianist blends well in its serene ambiance during weekend evenings. For a much lighter venue, the Pub & Grille is a more relaxed place to watch TV and drink beer with friends.

Have the best wedding with the golf club’s banquet rooms professionally set-up by dedicated staffs making sure that the event will happen despite a hurricane.
