Golf architect Stephen Kay uses the natural landscape in designing the course. Novice and even expert golfers will find the course challenging with the strategically placed bunkers. Being Southern New Jersey’s one of the nicest golf courses, expect well-maintained manicured greens, beautiful fairways, majestic tree lines and blue water. The 18-hole, par 72 course has five sets of tees including Gold, Red, White, Blue and Green. The course rating is 72.8 and a slope rating of 135 and a yardage of 6,810 from the Gold tees.

Blue Heron Pines has received several awards including "4 Stars - Golf Digest Places to Play" and "Best Golf Course- Casino Connection Magazine." In one of the issues of GolfWorld Magazine where a survey is conducted in 2010, the course was named as one of the Top 50 public courses nationwide.

Developer Roger B. Hansen originally opened the Blue Heron Pines in 1993 before it was purchased by Ron Jaworski in 2012, which adds to his signature golf course collection. The collections include Valley Brook Country Club (Gloucester Township), Running Deer Golf Club (Pittsgrove Township, Salem County) and RiverWinds Golf and Tennis Club (West Deptford Township, Gloucester County).

Jaworski’s team is dedicated in providing an ultimate golf experience from the staffs to its facilities. The staffs are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive which leaves a feeling to the golfers that they want to come back again. The course’s clubhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner while the Banquet Room offers an open-air location for any special occasion which can accommodate up to 200 guests. The course is a perfect place for wedding ceremonies with wedding experts that guide couple in the preparation of the special day. Specialty cakes, flowers, photography and entertainment are among the additional products and services available to match any occasion.
